L’Erasmus Orchestra torna ad esibirsi nel Concerto inaugurale di Fiera Didacta Italia, la più importante manifestazione fieristica del mondo della scuola. La serata si svolgerà mercoledì 20 marzo alle 19:00 al Teatro Niccolini di Firenze.
L’Orchestra è formata da circa 50 musicisti/studenti che hanno svolto o stanno svolgendo un’esperienza di mobilità internazionale Erasmus provenienti da 60 Conservatori di tutta Europa.
L’esibizione sarà diretta dal Maestro Elio Orciuolo e il programma prevede una selezione dei brani di alcuni dei più grandi compositori europei quali Mozart, Donizetti, Bizet e Puccini.

Cos’è l’Erasmus Orchestra
L’iniziativa ha un significato simbolico e intende diffondere i valori della “Generazione Erasmus” – aperta, dinamica, solidale – e dell’Europa, sfruttando la musica come metafora di integrazione, di incontro e di sviluppo di competenze oltre ogni barriera linguistica, geografica e culturale.
L’Orchestra ha anche l’obiettivo di promuovere le tante opportunità di formazione e mobilità Erasmus+ per gli studenti del settore di Alta Formazione Artistica e Musicale (AFAM) e contribuire a valorizzare i talenti e l’eccellenza dei Conservatori e degli Istituti Musicali europei, promuovendo collaborazioni e partenariati che offrano opportunità di internazionalizzazione ed esperienze professionali per i giovani musicisti.
Fin dal suo debutto, avvenuto durante il Festival D’Europa 2017 a Firenze, le esibizioni dell’Orchestra Erasmus hanno fatto registrare un grande successo di pubblico.
Per la composizione dell’organico 2024/2025, il progetto si è aperto ad accogliere anche gli studenti di Conservatori di tutti i Paesi Erasmus+, arrivando a includere oltre 220 studenti da 22 Paesi e 60 Conservatori che saranno utilizzati per concerti da svolgersi nel biennio.
Per questa nuova fase l’Agenzia si è avvalsa della collaborazione dell’Associazione Europea dei Conservatori – AEC.
Didacta Italy Fair, on March 20th in Florence, will kick off with a musical inauguration featuring students from the Erasmus Orchestra
The Erasmus Orchestra returns to perform at the inaugural concert of Didacta Italy Fair, the most important educational fair in Italy. The evening will take place on Wednesday, March 20th, at 7:00 PM at the Niccolini Theater in Florence (IT).
The Orchestra consists of approximately 50 musicians/students who have completed or are currently undergoing an Erasmus international mobility experience from 60 Conservatories across Europe.
The performance will be conducted by Maestro Elio Orciuolo, and the program includes a selection of pieces by some of the greatest European composers such as Mozart, Donizetti, Bizet, and Puccini.

What is the Erasmus Orchestra?
The initiative holds symbolic significance and aims to spread the values of the “Erasmus Generation” – open, dynamic, and supportive – and of Europe, using music as a metaphor for integration, meeting, and the development of skills beyond linguistic, geographic, and cultural barriers.
The Orchestra also aims to promote the many Erasmus+ training and mobility opportunities for students in the Higher Education Artistic and Musical (AFAM) sector, contributing to enhancing the talents and excellence of European Conservatories and Musical Institutes. This involves promoting collaborations and partnerships that offer opportunities for internationalization and professional experiences for young musicians.
Since its debut at the 2017 Festival D’Europa in Florence, the Erasmus Orchestra’s performances have enjoyed great public success.
For the 2024/2025 lineup, the project has expanded to include students from Conservatories in all Erasmus+ countries, involving over 220 students from 22 countries and 60 Conservatories.
For this new phase, the Agency has collaborated with the European Association of Conservatoires – AEC.
