European schools work as a team in Antwerp under the PEACE project

The transnational contact seminar “Group mobility of pupils for accredited schools related to participation in democratic life, common values and civic engagement” took place in Antwerp, Belgium, from 25 to 27 October 2023.
The event was organized by the Belgian national agency EPOS, as part of the transnational PEACE initiative, coordinated by the Erasmus+ Italian national agency INDIRE on the theme of active participation and civic engagement.
The objective of the seminar was in fact to encourage contact between different schools with Erasmus+ 2021-2027 accreditation from the countries participating in the Programme, to promote the mobility of groups of pupils aged between 12 and 18, in relation to the Erasmus+ priority Participation in democratic life, common values and civic engagement.

Relive the event
The work of the two days guaranteed the sharing of ideas and proposals for group mobility of pupils organized by accredited institutes to contribute in a concrete way to one of the transversal priorities of the Programme. Participants had the opportunity to discuss with experts on the topic of civic participation and with experiences and good practices and to meet new partners for possible future projects.
5 different proposals emerged on topics such as the simulation of the European Parliament vote with students, European civic education, ethics of the European institutions, and voting right at 16 years old.
