Il prossimo 12 marzo al Teatro Verdi di Firenze l’Erasmus Orchestra si esibirà per celebrare il 100º anniversario di INDIRE (Istituto Nazionale di Documentazione, Innovazione e Ricerca Educativa), uno dei più antichi istituti di ricerca del Ministero dell’Istruzione italiano, impegnato nella promozione dell’innovazione nelle scuole. L’Orchestra si esibirà anche per dare il via a Fiera Didacta 2025, che si terrà in a Firenze (Fortezza da Basso) dal 12 al 14 marzo e sarà dedicata anch’essa alla stessa ricorrenza.
Dal 1925 INDIRE studia e sviluppa nuovi modelli didattici, esplora l’uso delle tecnologie emergenti nell’educazione e ridefinisce il rapporto tra spazi e tempi dell’apprendimento.
L’ensemble sarà composto da circa 50 giovani musicisti provenienti da oltre 30 Conservatori e istituti musicali europei partner del progetto Erasmus Orchestra, tutti con un’esperienza Erasmus completata o in corso, e proporrà brani di celebri compositori europei come Bach, Haydn, Mozart e Beethoven.
L’evento è organizzato in collaborazione con il Conservatorio “L. Cherubini” di Firenze.
La partecipazione è gratuita previa registrazione.
Cos’è l’Erasmus Orchestra?
L’iniziativa ha un forte valore simbolico e mira a diffondere i valori della “Generazione Erasmus” – aperta, dinamica e solidale – e dell’Europa, utilizzando la musica come metafora di integrazione, incontro e sviluppo di competenze al di là delle barriere linguistiche, geografiche e culturali.
L’Orchestra si propone inoltre di promuovere le numerose opportunità di formazione e mobilità offerte dal programma Erasmus+ per gli studenti del settore dell’Alta Formazione Artistica e Musicale, contribuendo a valorizzare i talenti e le eccellenze dei Conservatori e degli Istituti Musicali europei. Questo obiettivo viene perseguito attraverso collaborazioni e partenariati che offrono opportunità di internazionalizzazione e di esperienze professionali per i giovani musicisti.

Erasmus Orchestra in concert for INDIRE’s 100th anniversary
The next March 12 at the Teatro Verdi in Florence, the Erasmus Orchestra will perform to celebrate the 100th anniversary of INDIRE (National Institute for Documentation, Innovation, and Educational Research), one of the oldest research institutes of the Italian Ministry of Education, committed to promoting innovation in schools. The Orchestra will also perform to kick off Fiera Didacta 2025, which will be held in Florence (Fortezza da Basso) from March 12 to 14, and will also be dedicated to the same anniversary.
Since 1925, INDIRE has been studying and developing new teaching models, exploring the use of emerging technologies in education, and redefining the relationship between spaces and times of learning.
The ensemble will consist of about 50 young musicians from over 30 European Conservatories and music institutions that are partners of the Erasmus Orchestra project, all of whom have completed or are currently participating in an Erasmus experience. They will perform works by famous European composers such as Bach, Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven.
The event is organized in collaboration with the “L. Cherubini” Conservatory of Florence.

What is the Erasmus Orchestra?
The initiative has strong symbolic value and aims to spread the values of the “Erasmus Generation” – open, dynamic, and supportive – and of Europe, using music as a metaphor for integration, meeting, and skill development beyond linguistic, geographical, and cultural barriers.
The Orchestra also aims to promote the numerous training and mobility opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program for students in the field of Higher Artistic and Musical Education, contributing to enhancing the talents and excellence of European Conservatories and Music Institutions. This objective is pursued through collaborations and partnerships that offer opportunities for internationalization and professional experiences for young musicians.
